Viewing Calculation Results
- Click Calculation output from the menu bar.
- From the Calculation List section, click a calculation. In the example below, the user has selected to view the second of the two available calculations. This is denoted by
.
- If the system performed a calculation using OEM parts and a second using alternative manufacturer parts, the Calculation output page will show both calculations. See OEM and alternative parts calculations.
- The configuration of the system determines whether the Calculation output page displays the result of the last calculation performed or the results of all calculations performed in the case.
- If the system is configured to only show the last calculation performed and that calculation contains an error, you can access the list of calculations to activate a different calculation. See Unlocking the Calculation List.
Notes:
- If you previously selected labour rates and ID Block Codes and performed a calculation and have since made changes to either, you must re-calculate. If you do not do so, the system will notify you in both the Calculation options and Calculation output pages that this is necessary. In addition, will display against the Calculation output page in the menu bar. - By default, the system names each calculation with the date and time it was performed. You can change this by clicking against the desired calculation and entering a new name.
- You can create a report containing the details of a calculation and, if configured, choose whether to store the report as a case attachment. Refer to Generating PDF Reports for more information.
- If you also performed a long valuation, you can view the details by clicking Display Valuation in the Results section. To switch back to the calculation, click Display Calculation. The system will always display the details of the calculation selected for viewing.
- The details of the last short valuation you performed are included in any PDF report you create that contains a repair cost calculation.
- If configured, you can manually check the selected calculation against a set of pre-defined rules, click the Use Filter button. Refer to Checking Calculations Against Rules to for more information.
- If you make any changes that affect the repair cost calculation (vehicle damage or labour rates) and re-calculate repair costs, you should also re-calculate vehicle depreciation. The system will display the following message in the Calculation Output page and Depreciation page to remind you to do this: Values have changed - please re-calculate vehicle depreciation.
