Creating PDF Reports
There are currently two methods for creating PDF reports. The exact method used depends on the configuration of the system.
Print Button - Using Templates
PDF reports are based on templates that have been created for your organisation. If you can see Text Templates in the menu bar you can customise the templates that define the contents of each report. See Customising Report Content.
- Click
from the Actions column in any of the lists or open a case and click Print. The Print Customisation dialog box displays. - Select a template from the Print format drop-down box.
- If displayed select and de-select template blocks to define what information to include in the report.
- Select a calculation from the Calculation drop-down box.
- If there is more than one, the system will automatically select the last calculation viewed in the Calculation Output page, as denoted by
.
- Select an attachment category from the Store Report drop-down box or select Do Not Store if you do not wish to save the report as an attachment.
- If you can see the Filename field, you can change the default attachment filename by clicking in the field and editing the text.
- Click:
- Generate PDF to generate the report.
- Cancel to close the dialog box without generating the report.
Notes:
- In certain configurations, the system will check the size of the pdf report to make sure it does not exceed the file size limit set by your organisation. A message will display to inform you if the pdf report you want to generate exceeds this limit.
- In certain configurations, typically where you do not have the possibility to store attachments in categories, the options to select an attachment category from the Store Report drop-down box and edit the attachment filename are not displayed.
Print HTML button
- Click
in the Actions column in any of the lists or open a case and click Print HTML. A report is generated. - Click:
- Print to print the report in HTML format.
- Print PDF to create a PDF of the report.
- Customisation to choose the contents of the report. See Customising PDF Reports for details.
- Cancel to close the report without printing.
