Creating a KBA Report

If configured for your organisation, you can create a KBA report for the case vehicle. This report includes details held by the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt for the case vehicle. When you create a report, the system will automatically include it as a case attachment so that you can include it with the case when sending it to others involved in the claims process.

1. Click Vehicle Identification UST from the menu bar.
2. Enter the 7-digit KBA number for the case vehicle in the KBA field.
3. Enter the 3 or 5-digit KBA version number for the case vehicle in the Version field.
   • If you entered the KBA number in the search tree when identifying the case vehicle, the KBA number will be pre-filled.
   • If you entered the KBA number in the search tree and then change it in the Vehicle Identification UST page, the system will prompt you to update your case if necessary. If you identified the vehicle using the KBA number, you should return to the Search Tree and confirm your filters and vehicle equipment.
   • The system will use the KBA number entered in the Vehicle Identification UST page to generate the PDF report. If you change the KBA number in this page, the system will also change the number in the Search Tree.
4. Click KBA-Report.
   • The report is automatically stored to the attachment category configured to store KBA reports and timestamped.
5. Click:

   - Open to view the report.

   - Save to store the report locally or to a network location.

   - Cancel if you do not wish to view or store the report.
