Performing a Manual Vehicle Valuation
You can perform a manual vehicle valuation for vehicles partly or un-supported by Audatex. You perform a manual valuation in three steps. First, you must enter vehicle details, such as manufacturer, model and sub-model. Secondly, you enter equipment details, assigning a price to each piece. Finally, you enter mandatory data in the Vehicle Valuation page.
- Navigate to the Open list.
- Click
to open the desired case. - Click Vehicle Identification UST from the menu bar.
- Follow steps one to three to perform a manual valuation.
- Click Valuate to perform the manual valuation. The system displays results in the Calculation Output page.
Step 1 - Enter vehicle details:
Enter vehicle details in the Vehicle Identification UST page
- Click Vehicle Identification UST from the menu bar.
- In the Vehicle for Valuation section, click the Manual option button.
- When you click Manual, the Manufacturer, Model and Subtype fields are unlocked so that you can enter or edit vehicle details.
- In addition, the system will insert 00000000 as the Schwacke key. This denotes a manual valuation.
- Edit the Manufacturer, Model and Subtype fields as required.
- Enter the first registration date in the Vehicle data section.
- You can also use the dynamic calendar to enter the first registration date. Click
to open the dynamic calendar.
Step 2 - Enter Equipment:
Enter equipment in the Schwacke Equipment tab
- Click the Schwacke Equipment tab.
- Enter the following information about each piece of equipment:
- Description - you can either enter a description yourself or you can click and select equipment from a list of common vehicle equipment. You select a piece of equipment by clicking the adjacent tickbox.
You can select a single piece of equipment or multiples. When done, click Accept to confirm selections or Cancel to close the list.
- Marketability - select a value from the drop-down box.
- Price - enter the price as new for the piece of equipment.
- Number - enter the number of this piece of equipment.
- Install date - enter the date the piece of equipment was added to the vehicle. You can also use the dynamic calendar to enter this information. By default, the first registration date is used.
- Whether serial equipment - if the piece of equipment is serial equipment, click the tickbox in the Is Serial column. This will exclude this piece of equipment from the valuation calculation and it will be listed in the Serial section of the valuation report.
- Click OK to add the piece of equipment to the list.
Notes:
- You can edit the details of any piece of equipment you added to the list. To do this, click and edit details as required. Click OK once again to save the changes.
- You can remove any piece of equipment you added to the list. To do this, click against the piece of equipment you wish to remove.
Step 3 - Entering Mandatory Data:
Enter mandatory data in the Vehicle Valuation page
- Click Vehicle Valuation from the menu bar.
- If not already done, complete the following fields in the Always Mandatory section:
- Mileage
- First Registration Date
- Mileage Source
- Valuation Date
- Value code - this defines the type of valuation to perform
- Complete the following fields in the Mandatory for manual valuation and optional for supported valuations section:
- Vehicle Type
- Mileage Category
- Price as New
- Base Value
- Depending on the value code you selected in step 2, you have the option to also enter:
- Market value
- Value difference
- If necessary, enter additional vehicle details, such as repairs, aggregates and tires. Refer to Performing a Long Valuation for more information.
- If you also wish to capture damage and calculate repair costs you must you must use the Search Tree to identify the vehicle. How you do this depends on whether the vehicle is supported by Audatex. Click here to read how to do this.

What is the difference between a fully supported, partly supported and un-supported vehicle?
Fully supported by Audatex
This means that a complete range of data is available for the vehicle model. This usually happens when you identify a vehicle using a VIN, KBA, Schwacke Key or manufacturer, model, series.
Partly supported by Audatex
This means that Audatex is able to supply from other sources such as Eurotax but means that a phantom or manual calculation must be performed. This involves selecting a vehicle fully supported by Audatex as a substitute.
Un-supported by Audatex
This means that there is no vehicle data available.
