Selecting Optional and Technical Equipment
Optional Equipment
- In the Configuration page, click the Optional equipment tab.
- If necessary, reduce the list of equipment by selecting a value from the category and sub-category drop-down boxes. Alternatively, search for optional equipment by entering an appropriate search term. Click here to learn how to search for a piece of equipment.
- The system shows whether the list of equipment has been filtered by category or sub-category by shading the drop-down box red.
- Click the tickbox for each piece of optional equipment you wish to select.
- If you select a piece of equipment that conflicts with other selections, you will have to decide whether to resolve or ignore that conflict. Click here to learn how.
- It is possible to configure the system to include an image of the wheel rim with the wheel description. In this configuration, to select a wheel, you can either click the image of the rim or the tickbox for the piece of equipment. If more than one wheel rim is shown, you have two options. You can select the correct rim now and avoid having to resolve the ambiguity when exiting the UST or select the tickbox for the piece of equipment without selecting a wheel rim. With this option, when you exit the UST, you will be asked resolve the ambiguous model option by making a rim selection.
- Select the tickbox in the PL column to take the full equipment description or "long text" into the vehicle valuation.
- Click:
- Accept to return to the Vehicle Identification UST page with the current equipment selections. The system enters the vehicle details in the Vehicle for Calculation and Vehicle for Valuation section. These details are sufficient for capturing vehicle damage, and performing an accurate vehicle damage calculation and vehicle valuation.
- If you de-selected the AX only tickbox to identify a vehicle for a manual or phantom calculation, when you click Accept, the system will ask you to identify the closest vehicle match. Click
here to read more.When you click Accept, the system displays the Support for manual & phantom calculation page. In this page, you must identify the vehicle you wish to use for the manual or phantom calculation. To help you, the system will search for the best match amongst the vehicles covered by Audatex.
Phantom
If a match is found, the system will then propose a manufacturer, model and sub-model combination. You can retain this combination or override by de-selecting the AX Codes tickbox and making new selections. When you are satisfied with the vehicle match, click Accept to return to the Vehicle Identification UST page. Notice that the calculation kind is Phantom. You can, if you wish, edit the manufacturer, model and sub-model labels.
The system also shows which Audatex coded vehicle will be used as a reference for capturing and calculation.
Manual
Alternatively, you can perform a manual calculation. Click the Manual tickbox and then Accept to return to the Vehicle Identification UST page. Notice that the calculation kind is Manual and that the manufacturer, model and sub-model codes are set to 00, 00, 00. You can, if you wish, edit the manufacturer, model and sub-model labels.
- Cancel to return to the Vehicle Identification UST page without saving your equipment selections.
- < Back to return to the filter stage. This button is not displayed if you clicked Configuration in the Vehicle Identification UST page to jump directly to the configuration stage.
Technical equipment
- In the Configuration page, click the Technical equipment tab.
- Click the tickbox or option button for each piece of equipment you wish to select.
