All Vehicle Types

1. Enter the following mandatory information or select a value from the appropriate drop-down box:
   • Manufacturer.
   • Model.
   • Engine type.
   • Transmission type.
   • Body type.
   • First registration.
   • Number of doors.
   • Mileage.
   • Engine power in kW.
   • Engine capacity in cubic centimetres (cm³).
2. Enter any optional vehicle information.
   • For example, you might wish to restrict the search to a particular geographical area. To do this, enter a postcode and then enter a search radius.
   • The postcode you enter must be a two-digit or five-digit number and must be valid otherwise it will not be considered in the search. If the postcode you enter is not valid, the following message will be displayed in the PDF showing search results: Unfortunately we could not locate the requested postal code, the search was carried out nationwide.
3. Define the equipment to include in the search.
   
   • How you define equipment depends on the configuration of VALUEpilot. When you first open the page, you will see vehicle equipment in one of two formats:
     
     (1) Comma Separated List
     
     If configured, or if you fully identified and configured the vehicle in the UST, the system will show vehicle equipment as a comma separated list. You can add pieces of equipment to the list and edit or delete any existing pieces as required. Remember to separate each piece of equipment with a comma.
     
     (2) Tickboxes
     
     If configured or if you did not fully identify and configure the vehicle in the UST, the system will show you a set of common pieces of vehicle equipment. Some equipment might be pre-selected but you can select and de-select equipment as necessary by clicking the tickbox for equipment you wish to include in the search and clearing the tickbox for equipment you wish to exclude.
   • If the view of vehicle equipment has not been configured for your organisation, when you first open the page, you will only see the comma separated list if you identified and configured the vehicle in the UST.
   • If configured for your organisation you can switch between these two views of vehicle equipment by clicking Switch to List Field or Switch to Checkboxes. If you do switch, the system will remember your choice when you return to the VALUEpilot page.
4. Click Start Search.
   • The system will now use your search criteria to generate a value corridor, using data from AUTOonline databases and then search configured online automotive markets for offering that match the search criteria and value range. The system will display the results in the Results section. See Understanding Search Results and Viewing Offers.

Notes:

- If you used the Universal Search Tree (UST) to identify the case vehicle and made changes, perhaps by changing the engine type or equipment you wish to reload the vehicle information taken from the UST, including equipment selections, click Reload Vehicle. This will discard any changes you made and completely reset the vehicle to its original UST configuration.

- When you click Start Search, the system check that all mandatory fields are complete. If any remain incomplete, the system will display a warning to inform you which field.
