1. Enter the VIN in the field provided. Click here for information about the structure of VIN for the leading vehicle manufacturers.
   • You can narrow search results by comparing either the first registration date to either the tariff date or build date. See Narrowing Search Results.
2. If vehicle data is available for the entered VIN, the system will display the following message: VIN available for manufacturer. You can now click one of four buttons.

   - Run VIN to start the vehicle search and view results. In most cases, a VIN search will return the Schwacke Code, AX Codes, vehicle manufacturer, series, model and submodel.

   • Click to view Audatex coded VIN results.

     - Next > to start the vehicle search and jump to the next stage of vehicle identification, selecting filters, without viewing results. Make sure that the VIN is the selected value in the Search Method drop-down box. See Selecting Filters.

     - Accept to start the search and return to the Vehicle Identification UST page with the results. The system fills the vehicle details in the Vehicle for Calculation section. This information is sufficient for capturing vehicle damage and performing a repair cost calculation.

     - Cancel to return to the Vehicle Identification UST page. The system does not perform a search.

Notes:

- When entering a VIN to identify the case vehicle, the system may ask you to agree to the terms of the VIN query and the use of data. You will need to click OK to continue with the VIN query or Cancel if you do not wish to perform the query. The system will also ask you if you enter the UST with a VIN.

- If the system displays the following message, VIN not available for this manufacturer, review the VIN you entered and try again.
