Adding and Printing Comments

Public and Private Comments

Public

Public comments are visible by all users involved in the case. If you send a case to another user, the comment will be visible in the list of comments and if configured in the Event Log.

The system will display the message New Notifications underneath the comments button if there are new public comments in the case.

Private

Private comments are only visible to the user that added the private comment and users in your organisation that have the rights to see or edit your cases. For users in your organisation without these rights and users outside of your organisation private are not visible. This means that if you send a case to another, it will not be visible in the list of comments or the Event Log.

The system will display the message New Notifications underneath the comments button if there are new private comments in the case.

Adding Comments

  1. Navigate to the Open list.
  2. Click view case to open the desired case.
  3. Click Comments. The Comments dialog box displays.
  4. Enter a comment in the New Comment field.
  5. If you do not want other users viewing the comment, click the Private tickbox.
    • In some configurations, this tickbox is selected by default.
  6. Click:

    - Save to add the comment.

    - Cancel if you do not wish to add the comment.

Printing a List of Comments

  1. Click Comments.
  2. Click Print. The system will open a new browser window showing a list of public comments and any private comments you added. You can use your browser's print button to print.
