Overview of Image Editor

The system loads the image you have selected to edit into an image-editing tool, displayed in a new window. Important points:

- You can use the buttons positioned along the top of the window to rotate, resize, reposition, and zoom in and out of the image. Click

here to view an explanation of each button. All of these functions are also available through the menu bar positioned along the top of the image-editing tool.

Button	Menu path	Explanation
	Orient > Zoom > In	Zoom in.
	Orient > Zoom > Out	Zoom out.
	Orient > Fit to > Window	Display the image in the full window size.
	Orient > Magnifier	Turn on the magnifying glass.
		Move a zoomed-in image. The image must be zoomed-in to activate this feature.
	Edit > Select Area	Select an area of an image to edit.
	Orient > Zoom > Magnifier	Draw an area to zoom.
	Orient > Flip > Horizontal	Flip image horizontally.
	Orient > Flip > Vertical	Flip image vertically.
	Orient > Rotate > CCW > 90 deg	Rotate the image counter-clockwise 90 degrees.
	Orient > Rotate > CW > 90 deg	Rotate the image clockwise 90 degrees.

- The buttons positioned along the left hand side of the window are used to add annotations such as borders and shapes and text boxes. Click

	Annotations > Highlight Rectangle	Draw translucent rectangle.
	Annotations > Ellipse	Draw ellipse border.
	Annotations > Filled Ellipse	Draw filled ellipse.
	Annotations > Polygon	Draw user defined border.
	Annotations > Filled polygon	Draw user defined filler border.
	Annotations > Post-It Note	Add text box with solid background.
	Annotations > Text	Add text box with transparent background.

- The image-editing tool also includes a status bar, positioned at the bottom of the window. This bar includes details of the file name, image resolution and current image magnification.
