Adding Custom Model Options

The Model Options dialog box lists all manufacturer defined model options that are available for the selected vehicle. If a model option is not listed in the dialog box, you can add a custom one. You can add a maximum of six custom model options for passenger cars and 12 for caravans.

The model option will display in the Calculation Preview tab and in the repair cost calculation for information purposes only. It will not affect the value of the vehicle or the calculation result.

  1. Click gear from the Toolbar.
  2. If you are using the Tree view, click from the right-hand pane. If you are using the Tab view, click the Additional/Manual tab and click .
  3. In the Create New Model Option dialog box enter a description of no more than nineteen characters in the Text field. You can also use the keyboard pad and calculator pad to enter this information by clicking keyboard. See Using the Keyboard and Calculator Pads.
  4. Click:

    - OK to add the model option.

    - OK+ to add the model option and keep the dialog box open so that you can enter another model option.

    - Cancel to return to the Model Options dialog box without adding the model option.

Notes:

- In the Calculation Preview tab and repair cost calculation, an asterisk * denotes any model option description you created.

- For vehicle models without sufficient data to display vehicle and part drawings you can enter a model option code or description but not both.

- For vehicle models without sufficient data to display vehicle and part drawings, you can also add multiple model options by clicking create multiple mos and then entering model option codes using a comma or space to separate each model option.

- When entering model option codes, pay attention that the codes are valid for the model. It is recommended that you refer to the paper model sheet or contact Audatex support.
